Friends of Westwood School (FoWS) Mission Statement
To organise events and activities which children, their families and the school community can enjoy, while raising funds to support projects which further enrich the experience of our children.
To make every child’s potential a reality by improving and enhancing the education and experiences they receive at primary school, by purchasing extra equipment and funding trips out of school. To develop effective relationships between our parents, staff and other members of our village community.
What is FoWS?
FoWS is a registered charity (Charity Num 1034875) made up of group of parents, friends and staff of Westwood-with-Iford School. We voluntarily give up our time to organsise events and fundraisers. We meet monthly, at school, and arrange things such as:
- School Discos
- Easter Egg hunts
- Christmas Carols
- Summer Family Inflatable Day
All the money we raise is invested directly back into the school. In recent years we have funded whole school trips, new outdoor play equipment, new science equipment, books for the library, new iPads and much more!
