Andrew Pilsworth, Chair of Governors

Andrew Pilsworth has been a Governor since February 2022, initially at Fitzmaurice Primary School and now the Joint Local Governing Committee for Fitzmaurice and Westwood with Iford Primary Schools. In September 2023, he took the role as Vice Chair and then Chair in September 2024.

Andy has been serving in the British Army since 2008, lives in Bradford on Avon and has three boys with his wife, two of which are at Fitzmaurice Primary School.

Liz Parry, Community Governor

Liz Parry has been a governor of Fitzmaurice Primary school since 2022 and Westwood with Iford since the Local Governing committee combined.

Liz has lived in Bradford on Avon for ten years and is a local General Practitioner and parent to three children who all attend Fitzmaurice Primary School.

Isabelle Duck, Parent Governor

Isabelle joined the Governing Body for Westwood with Iford and Fitzmaurice Primary School as a Parent Governor in January 2024, bringing valuable experience in education and a strong connection to our school community. A proud parent of a daughter who attends Westwood with Iford, Isabelle is thrilled that her daughter is the third generation of their family to be part of the school. This long-standing family tradition reflects the deep roots and special place the school holds in their hearts. With eight years of teaching experience, Isabelle now holds a leadership role at a nearby school. As a Parent Governor, Izzie is committed to supporting both schools, ensuring the best outcomes for all students, and upholding the values and traditions that make these schools truly special.

Alex Ladner, Staff Governor, FPS

Alex Ladner is new to the governor’s team, starting this year and joins as a staff member from Fitzmaurice school.

He is in his third year of teaching at Fitzmaurice having recently passed his ECT last year.
